The Creative Life Behind #fanvids was my capstone project for my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. This project included writing, designing, photographing, and creating tutorials. My book is made for people who want to learn more about fanvids and the process behind them. In my book, I cover my experience, behind the videos, what I learned, the community, collaborating, and interviews with other fanvidders worldwide. I have also included QR codes that you can scan with your phone and links available for desktop users to make my book more engaging. Since I was a little kid, I have been a big fan of TV shows and movies. A few years ago, I stumbled upon the world of fan vidding, and one day I wanted to try it out myself. Getting to tell stories through video editing is an incredible experience and an emotional connection. Creating these videos is truly the best part, and I get to look back at that process and see how far I’ve come with the final result. It has been a long way since I started, and I always strive to learn and challenge myself.
