The goal was to create a full magazine from cover to inside content during one whole semester in my Editorial Design class. Each of us had to pick a topic and do lots of research on what articles and images we should include. My magazine is focused on “The Best Movies of the ‘90s,” and the magazine issue is called final cut. I came up with the name because it fits my main topic. Final cut can have other issues focusing on different decades, such as the ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘50s, etc. I learned that a lot of research is needed before beginning to think about the layout and design of the magazine. Every step is critical to the final outcome, and I love how the magazine came to be.
